The OPTN data collection and management system, UNet℠, is required to meet the highest security standards for federally contracted civilian computer systems. These security standards are based on requirements from the National Institute of Standards and Technology. The confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data collected must be protected from unauthorized use, modification or deletion.
Due to these security requirements, we need you to complete the UNet Site Security Administrator Audit each year. UNOS Customer Service is available and willing to help you with the audit in any way, but you should know that if you fail to complete it, your organization’s access to UNet may be disrupted.
The OPO Executive Directors, Lab Directors, Transplant Program Administrators and Program Directors need to review and verify the individuals listed on the Site Security Administrator Audit Form to validate Site Administrator access for your organization.
We are excited to announce that for 2018, you may submit the audit forms electronically. This should significantly reduce the time it takes your staff to complete the audit.
[Update as of 3/28/2018]– Week of 3/26/18 we will email the audit notification and the link to the electronic audit form.
[Update as of 3/28/2018]– 4/23/2018 – Deadline for completing and submitting the audit form.
