The 2021 Annual Meeting of Members
The 2021 Annual Meeting of Members will be held at United Network for Organ Sharing headquarters located at 700 North 4th Street, Richmond, Virginia, Jan. 28, at 11 a.m. (ET) for the following purposes:
- To elect Directors and Officers of the Corporation to serve for stated terms or until their successors are duly qualified and elected. The UNOS Board of Directors also functions as the OPTN Board of Directors. Information on all nominees is available here.
- To ratify amendments to the Bylaws of the Corporation, which have been adopted by the Board of Directors since the 2020 Annual Meeting of Members. Summaries of the amendments are found at: https://unos.org/community/board-committees/
- To transact such other business as may properly come before the Annual Meeting or any adjournment thereof.
Members of record have the right to receive notice of and vote at the Annual Meeting and any adjournment thereof.
Board election to be held electronically
The ballot for the national Board of Directors election will be open from Jan. 13 through Jan. 27. Designated voting representatives for each member organization and member individuals will be able to cast ballots electronically.
UNOS partners with VoteNet Solutions Inc., an election software company, to allow voting representatives to view the Board ballot online and register their votes via a secure web application.
On Wednesday, Jan. 13, voting representatives will receive by email a link to the ballot and supporting information about the nominees, and log in information. The voting application will open Jan. 13 and will close on Jan. 27 at 11:59 p.m.
Each member institution with voting privileges may cast one vote. The organization designates one person to serve as a voting representative on its behalf, as well as an alternate if the primary representative is unavailable. People who are individual members are also voting representatives.
