Town Hall Question and Answer Session on the new kidney allocation system

Register now for an October 23 town hall for transplant professionals on upcoming changes to the OPTN kidney allocation system. The session will be held from 2-3 p.m. (EDT) and a panel of subject matter experts will be available to answer questions.

Background

In November 2013, the OPTN/UNOS Board of Directors approved policy to substantially revise the kidney allocation system. The goals of the new system are to enhance the long-term benefit of kidney transplantation, make better use of available kidneys, and increase transplant opportunities for hard-to-match candidates.
