Tiwan Nicholson, MSIS
Senior Director, IT Operations
Tiwan Nicholson is responsible for ensuring the 24/7 availability of the systems which perform the national organ matching function, as well as the reliable operation of all other technology platforms at UNOS. His areas of focus include public and private cloud infrastructure, DevOps, cybersecurity, and data engineering.
Nicholson has over 25 years serving in various technology leadership roles in the Richmond area. Prior to joining UNOS in 2018, he served as enterprise datacenter architect at Altria Client Services, Inc. His previous work experience includes progressive leadership roles at Genworth Financial, as well as several years in information technology consulting.
Nicholson earned a B.S. in computer science from Hampton University and an M.S. in information systems from Virginia Commonwealth University.
