What Every Patient Needs to Know is one of the most frequently requested patient resources UNOS offers. The OPTN/UNOS Patient Affairs Committee recently spearheaded an effort to rewrite and redesign the booklet. Transplant centers and patients can order a printed booklet from the UNOS store, or view/download an electronic version.
This comprehensive, 52-page booklet provides transplant candidates, patients and their loved ones with information about all aspects of the transplant experience, as well as information about living donation, financial aspects, promoting organ donation, a glossary and additional resources.
