SRTR will host webinar on its new website and tiered outcome assessments

The Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR) plans to host an informational webinar about its new website and tiered outcome assessment systems. In the webinar, SRTR will describe the motivation behind the changes, compare and contrast the 3-tier and 5-tier outcome assessment methodologies, and address common questions about the two systems. They will also let you know how to submit feedback about the website and outcome assessment systems.

Space is limited, preregister now.

Date/Time: Wednesday, April 19, 2017, 1 – 2 p.m. CST.

Background: In December 2016, SRTR replaced the 3-tier public rating assessment of transplant program performance on its website with a 5-tier assessment, with the goal of improving the usefulness of outcome information for transplant patients. After hearing from members of the transplant community that they did not have enough  time to review the new 5-tier rating system before implementation, the US Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) asked SRTR to transfer the 5-tier rating to an alternate, publicly available beta site where transplant professionals could review the information further and identify areas of improvement.
