Member actions required: data collection and VCA implementation

Scheduled system upgrades: On Thursday, Sept. 14, UNet will be temporarily unavailable from 4 a.m. ET until approximately 7 a.m. ET.

Ten VCA organs will be added to UNet and extensive changes will be made to data collection forms coming through the Office of Management and Budget approval process. Due to their complexity and size, these upgrades will take longer than normal to release. Patient care will not be impacted during this time.

Please note the Organ Center and UNOS Customer Service will not have access to the system during the times listed above.

Additional details

Every time data collection changes, all OPTN data collection forms must be submitted to the Office of Management and Budget for review and approval prior to implementation. These changes involve the addition of new fields, deletion of fields, and substantive changes to form questions supporting policies approved by the OPTN Board of Directors.
