US Airways implements additional shipment charges
Beginning March 15, 2013, US Airways added an additional handling charge to all customer-designated Life Saving shipments. Life Saving shipments include human organs or blood for life saving transplant or procedures.
Customers will be charged the applicable US Airways rate plus a $314.00 handling surcharge for these types of shipments. This surcharge will ensure that US Airways has the proper resources in place to efficiently handle this type of transportation.
