System notice: VCA distribution to be based on fixed distance circle of 500 nautical miles

Effective Thursday, June 18, 2020, VCA offers will first be made to compatible transplant candidates listed at VCA programs within a radius of 500 nautical miles of the donor. This replaces the previous distribution unit, which had been the OPTN region of the donor hospital.

Offer Filters Explorer tool available to kidney transplant programs starting May 20

United Network for Organ Sharing will soon begin piloting phase II of an offer filters project that will allow kidney transplant programs to bypass donor offers they do not want to receive through custom-designed, multi-criteria filters.

Phase 2 of new system implements to more holistically evaluate transplant program performance.

Patient Status Confirmation link available in UNet℠ beginning Oct. 2, closes Oct. 23

Transplant programs will be asked to confirm or update patient status for selected patients.

UNet is online: VCA and data collection projects released
