United Network for Organ Sharing will soon begin piloting phase II of an offer filters project that will allow kidney transplant programs to bypass donor offers they do not want to receive through custom-designed, multi-criteria filters.
Effective May 6, 2020, a transplant program reactivating a liver transplant candidate to a MELD or PELD status in Waitlist is no longer required to input updated lab values to support the listing.
Phase II of the offer filters pilot project will start later this year.
Participation has previously been limited to kidney and liver transplantation.
