UNOS announces national donor memorial award winner

The Fallen Soldier Donor Memorial statue will be unveiled in a ceremony on November 10 at 9 a.m. ET at United Network for Organ Sharing in Richmond, Va., as will a companion plaque that will hang at Landstuhl Military Hospital in Germany. United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) presented Harvey J. Steele of Toledo, Ohio, the 2016 National Donor Memorial Award for Excellence in recognition of his untiring efforts as a donation advocate.
The criteria are being developed in accord with the HIV Organ Policy Equity Act, also known as the HOPE Act.
