Oliver Hale, who is a kidney transplant recipient and a French gourmet chef, volunteers with UNOS because it gives him an opportunity to share his story of how organ donation saved his life. “I can also share about my life story as a successful chef and everything that my life has been like for the past 35 years,” he said about the years he has been able to enjoy since receiving a transplant. “All I can say is, organ donation works.”
Transplant community volunteers are on the same team, working toward a common goal of increasing the number of transplants and saving more lives.
