Voting opens Jan. 18 for Board election/Annual meeting of members

The 2023 Annual Meeting of Members will be held at United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) headquarters located at 700 North 4th Street, Richmond, Virginia, February 2, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. (ET) for the following purposes:

  1. To elect Directors and Officers of the Corporation to serve for stated terms or until their successors are duly qualified and elected. Please note that the UNOS Board of Directors continues to function as the OPTN Board of Directors.
  2. To ratify amendments to the Bylaws of the Corporation, which have been adopted by the Board of Directors since the 2022 Annual Meeting of Members.
  3. To transact such other business as may properly come before the Annual Meeting or any adjournment thereof.

Members of record have the right to receive notice of and vote at the Annual Meeting and any adjournment thereof.

Board election to be held electronically

The ballot for the national Board of Directors election will be open from January 18 through February 1, 2023. Designated voting representatives for each member organization and member individuals will be able to cast ballots electronically. The slate of nominees is available here, as well as biographical information on the candidates and brief video interviews with the candidates for Vice President/President-Elect.

Each member institution with voting privileges may cast one vote. The organization designates one person to serve as a voting representative on its behalf, as well as an alternate if the primary representative is unavailable. People who are individual members are also voting representatives.
