Improvement to the Candidate Match Screen Report

Improvement to the Candidate Match Screen Report

Audience

Transplant program personnel nationwide who want visibility to what is causing their candidates to be screened from matches

Implementation date

Sept. 30

 At-a-glance statement

In response to feedback from the organ donation and transplant community, United Network for Organ Sharing has improved the recently released Candidate Match Screen Report in WaitlistSM. To streamline the user experience, UNOS has reduced the timeframe for the report’s date range option to two months. The change will improve the report’s performance.

The Candidate Match Screen Report provides insight into the rationale behind match screens for candidates. Accessible in the Reports section of Waitlist under Match Related Reports, the Candidate Match Screen Report displays a summary of the reasons why a candidate was screened from a match for a given time period.

What you need to do

There is no required action. If interested, a user will simply select the Candidate Match Screen Report, enter a specific Waitlist ID for one of their candidates, and generate the report for their candidate. Programs may consider a review and adjustment to the candidate’s individual screening criteria to increase offers for that candidate.
