If you become aware of a potential disease transmission event, you must report it through UNet’s Improving Patient Safety portal within 24 hours. As of March 22, 2017, if you submit a patient safety event report more than 24 hours after you become aware of it, you will see a new text box asking you to explain why your report is delayed. You will only need to provide an explanation for late submissions on or after March 22, 2017.
