The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) first created the Let Life Bloom campaign in 2011 to encourage hospitals and transplant centers to educate their own staff, patients, and community members about donor awareness and encourage these individuals to join the donor registry if they hadn’t already. Beginning in 2013 and each year since, HRSA created a challenge score card to supplement that campaign and allow each organization to earn points for various activities they complete. Based on the number of points they earn, HHS’s Division of Transplantation will then recognize these organizations as platinum, gold, silver, or bronze award winners.
