LifeGift, the federally-designated organ and tissue recovery agency, which offers hope to individuals needing transplants in 109 Texas counties in Southeast, North and West Texas, today announced that Lauren Quinn has joined LifeGift as managing director of hospital development.
In this role, Lauren will lead the building and cultivation of productive organ and tissue donation systems in hospitals across LifeGift’s service areas. She will be responsible for the implementation of nationally recognized best practices and will design and deploy creative approaches to develop hospital cultures that are supportive of organ and tissue donation.
Lauren joins LifeGift from the Center for Donation & Transplant ( CDT) in Albany, New York, where she served as the director of hospital and community services. At CDT, Lauren managed hospital services and professional education, family services, as well as marketing, public relations and community education.
“Lauren’s extensive experience in many aspects of organ and tissue donation will be of tremendous benefit to the executive leadership team and all of LifeGift,” said Kevin Myer, president and CEO of LifeGift. “I look forward to Lauren’s contributions as she brings our hospital development program to a new level to offer more hope to the communities we serve.”
Throughout her tenure in the donation and transplantation community, Lauren has served in a variety of leadership roles with NATCO, UNOS, The Alliance, Donate Life America, Association of Organ Procurement Organizations. She has been published in Transplant Proceedings and has presented at multiple national level industry meetings.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication at the State University of New York in Geneseo, New York and her Master of Arts in Communication at State University at Albany.
