The application process is now open for kidney transplant programs interested in participating in the second cohort of the COIIN (Collaborative Innovation and Improvement Network) project. The deadline for completed applications is May 31. Access the application in the COIIN resource section of the OPTN website.
To qualify for participation, programs must:
- Have either performed at least 30 deceased donor kidney transplants in the past 12 months, or average 30 deceased donor kidney transplants over the past three years
- Be prepared to have program leadership and staff commit time and resources for pilot participation
- Not be currently under MPSC outcome review for patient and/or graft survival
If your transplant program submitted an application for the first cohort and you would like to re-apply for the second group, you won’t need to submit an entirely new application. COIIN staff will contact previous applicants with additional instructions.
Please submit completed applications by e-mail to [email protected]. For questions or additional information, contact Nicole Benjamin, UNOS’ Program Manager for COIIN, by phone at 804-782-4622.
