What are you presenting on at TMF?
My session, ‘The Evolving Role of Transplant Coordinators: Improving Outcomes in Modern Transplant Care,’ will highlight the shift of transplant coordinators from primary logistical tasks to patient advocacy, process improvement and shared decision-making. I aim to showcase how coordinators are now enhancing patient outcomes through quality initiatives and technology, like telehealth, while improving access to care and streamlining workflows.
What do you hope attendees will gain from your session?
I’m hoping attendees will walk away with a greater appreciation for the evolving role of transplant coordinators. It’s essential for programs to fully understand how coordinators directly influence patient outcomes and program efficiency. By recognizing this impact, leaders can better allocate resources and support, ultimately empowering their coordinators to deliver the highest quality patient care.
Why do you think it’s important to learn about this topic as a community?
TMF provides a platform for leaders to explore the latest trends, challenges, and innovations in the field. It’s an opportunity to learn from peers, discover innovative approaches, and gain insights into what strategies are driving real results.
