The organ offer contact management utility within DonorNet® will be updated to have a clearer and more concise list of contact device options. Changes will include the following:
- Options for phone and email in the contact management system will be consolidated:
- Voice section will display the device type of phone
- Text section will display the device type options: Email, Alphanumeric Pager, Text Message
- “SMS” will be changed to “Text Message” in the “Device Type” category, the format will be updated to accept a 10 digit number
- Contact numbers that cannot be validated by UNOS will be reclassified as “Alphanumeric Pager”
- Electronic organ offer texts will show as having been sent from a phone number, previously they were sent by email
What you need to do
No specific actions are needed for this release, but programs should routinely review and update their on-call information in DonorNet.
