At-a-glance

Waitlist℠ updates to local acceptance criteria for kidney and pancreas scheduled to be implemented Dec. 15, 2020, have been delayed as a result of the postponement of implementation of policies to remove donation service area (DSA) and region from kidney and pancreas allocation.

What you need to do

If changes were made in anticipation of the distance-based allocation system, programs should reevaluate their current “local” acceptance criteria settings for candidates in Waitlist and determine if any updates are necessary or appropriate, as the definition of “local” donor acceptance criteria will remain DSA-based pending further notice.
