With the new API, users can now retrieve Waitlist registration information for their program without the need to log in to UNet, navigate to Waitlist and export the files manually.

Access for urgent liver candidates in Hawaii and Puerto Rico to be implemented Feb. 18

On Feb. 18, a variance will be implemented to improve timely access to donors for candidates listed as Status 1A, Status 1B, or with a MELD or PELD score of 37 or higher in Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

System notice: Liver and intestinal organ distribution based on acuity circles implemented Feb. 4

As of Tuesday, Feb. 4, the liver and intestine distribution system based on acuity circles is in effect. This included a conversion of each transplant hospital’s median MELD at transplant (MMaT) score to reflect transplants performed at hospitals within a radius of 250 nautical miles.

The simultaneous liver-kidney (SLK) allocation required share will change from 250 nautical miles to 500 nautical miles for eligible adult candidates.

Coming soon: Simultaneous heart-kidney and lung-kidney allocation changes

Once the policy goes into effect, OPOs must offer required shares that are displayed on the match run.
