At a glance
We wanted to let you know that we are making a few changes to the messages you receive from UNOS to notify you about organ offers.
- On August 21, 2019, the Match ID will no longer be provided in the Voice Notification when you receive an organ offer. The Match ID will still be provided in the Text notification.
- On August 28, 2019, we are adding an additional provider for organ offer notifications. With this additional provider there are a few changes:
- The “From” address for some of these email and text notifications will be [email protected].
- You may notice slight differences in the automated phone messages, including the voice used on the call.
More details
We are making these changes to the UNOS Messaging service to improve organ offer notifications.
The first change, on August 21st is based on feedback we have received from our users within the transplant community. Removing the Match ID from the Voice notification will reduce the length of the Voice notification and allow on-call staff to more quickly begin organ allocation and placement activities. The Match ID will still be provided in the Text notification, and you will not need to change the way you respond to an offer notification.
With the addition of another provider on August 28th, you may notice the “From” address for some emails and text messages will be [email protected]. This should have no impact since your administrators should already allow messages from the unos.org domain. You may also notice slight differences in the automated phone messages, including the voice used on the call. You will not need to change the way you respond to an offer notification.
