What is the UNOS Region 5 Educational Collaborative?

The Collaborative is a daylong forum organized by Region 5 members, where teams share unique expertise, research and experiences with each other through educational sessions and networking opportunities.

Who should attend?

Professionals from Region 5 transplant hospitals, OPOs and histocompatibility labs are encouraged to attend. Sponsor/exhibitor representatives are invited to participate in all sessions, meals and networking opportunities outside of exhibiting hours.

Education

UNOS will submit this activity for Continuing Education Points for Transplant Certification (CEPTC), awarded by the American Board of Transplant Certification (ABTC). Stay tuned for more details.

  • Normothermic regional perfusion (NRP) – Ethics, best practices for consenting and lung utilization
  • Composite Allocation Score (CAS) -Geographical challenges with our new allocation practice
