Julie Nolan

Vice President of External Affairs
As Vice President of External Affairs, Julie Nolan leads outreach to the U.S. Congress to advocate on behalf of patients, focusing on engagement with stakeholders and policymakers to help them understand UNOS’ role in the organ donation and transplant system and to collaborate with them to advance reforms to the system.
Nolan has extensive experience in government relations, having advocated for healthcare-related issues before Congress for nearly two decades. She has served in multiple roles in the U.S. House of Representatives, including Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for a member of the House Ways & Means Committee, and she worked as staff for the former Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Nolan earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Denison University in Granville, Ohio.
