Alicia Hennie

Alicia Hennie provides leadership, vision and strategy for UNOS’ external affairs activities with government and regulatory officials, donation and transplantation associations, and patient groups. In this role, she advocates on behalf of patients and in support of UNOS’ mission to save as many lives as possible.

Hennie brings to UNOS extensive experience in health care policy and legislation, with previous positions in government affairs in the health care industry, as well as serving as health policy advisor in the U.S. Senate and as a presidential appointee in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Hennie earned her B.A. from Wheaton College in Illinois.
