Implementation Date
Jan. 31, 2022
At-a-glance
Beginning Jan. 31 between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. EST, TransNet SM users will no longer be required to use a separate TransNet password from their UNetSM account. Users will instead use a single login ID and password for both applications.
As a part of this update, there will be a mandatory update to the TransNet iOS and Android applications released on Jan 31. Previous versions of the applications will no longer allow successful login.
What you need to do:
- Download the updated version of the iOS and/or Android application when it becomes available on Jan.31. A system notice will be posted and emailed when it is available.
- In order to use offline functionality in the new application version, users must first login at least once while online. It is recommended to login to the application immediately after updating. This is true for every user that may potentially need to log in to the device offline.
- On Jan. 31, begin using your normal UNetSM credentials (username and password) to login to the TransNet application. TransNet-specific passwords will no longer work.
Site admins should continue to add/remove TransNet users from within the TransNet website. However, passwords for TransNet users should be managed through UNet Security Administration.
