The greatest hero I never knew was my organ donor, Courtney Ray Sterling who saved my life. In 2014, Courtney saved my life through receiving her liver and she granted the gift of life to 4 other individuals as well. The gift I had been given touched my husband so deeply that he decided to pay it forward in 2018 and become a living kidney donor for a friend in need. In 2019, I was able to become a Mom to our sons who we adopted from Africa. The gift Courtney granted to me through saving my life has had a ripple effect as more lives continue to be saved and enhanced through her priceless gift. Forever grateful!
