Midlothian, Virginia resident Amber Eck celebrated two years as a heart transplant recipient in March. “I know that would not have been possible without my organ donor, my organ donor family, and the tireless and wonderful work that’s being done at UNOS 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” she said. “For me, it was a no brainer to get on board volunteering with them and supporting a cause that is so near and dear to my heart.”
Transplant community volunteers are on the same team, working toward a common goal of increasing the number of transplants and saving more lives.
