30 years ago, I was given the gift of life from ….wait for it…my daughter-in-law. HOW MANY MOTHER-IN-LAWS can say they have a Daughter-in-law like that?
IN THOSE 30 YEARS I HAVE:
Had a United States Postal career. I retired on December 31, 2014.
When COVID 19 hit in 2020-2023 I went to work for the Federal Employee Program BCBS as a Clinical Support frontline to help process tens of thousands of prior authorizations and get much needed medications to patients.
At the United States Postal Service (1996-2015), LIKE HARRY BAILEY FROM “IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE”, I Was given A RARE gift to know how many people’s lives I would touch.
In 2003, I submitted a proposal to convert current, experienced temporary employees to full-time careers. That proposa was adopted by the United States Postal Service and touched over 3,000 temporary employees and their families across American, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.
I don’t think over a handful of people know that it was me who wrote the proposal that showed the benefits of hiring experienced, temporary employees.
So why am I telling you, when I don’t think I have ever even mentioned it to my best friend in 30 years?
Because Pamela Diane Royster, MY DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, made it all possible:
On JUNE 23, 1993
PAM GAVE ME A KIDNEY AND A NEW LIFE.
BECAUSE OF PAM, “WE” WERE ABLE TO TOUCH AND IMPROVE THOUSANDS OF LIVES.
I LOVE YOU Pamela Diane Royster!!!!
