The Ad Hoc Disease Transmission Advisory Committee (DTAC) created two guidance documents. While not policy requirements, these documents are intended to provide clinical resource information to donation and transplantation professionals.
One document addresses guidance for reporting to the OPTN regarding potential donor-derived disease transmission events from either deceased or living donors. The other document offers guidance for identifying risk factors for Mycobacterium tuberculosis during the evaluation of potential living kidney donors.
