UNOS has held federal government contracts since 1986, including an extensive role in serving as a contractor for the United States’ Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN). As the first OPTN federal government contractor, UNOS has been instrumental in shaping and supporting the OPTN’s goal to help ensure the organ allocation process is carried out fairly and efficiently.
