Walter suffered kidney failure at age 19 and received a living donation from his father, lasting 28 years. In 1999, Walter resumed dialysis for six years until receiving a second transplant on March 5, 2005. “Because of my donors, I have been blessed to enjoy 66 years of life. I’ve spent 45 years with my loving wife, Linda, and we have enjoyed raising four beautiful children and eight grandchildren.
