Celebrating Living Donor Adventures’ climb of Mount Kilimanjaro

Heart

Team summited Mount Kilimanjaro on World Kidney Day: March 9, 2023

The climb

On World Kidney Day, March 9, 2023, a team of living donors, friends and family summited Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise awareness for living organ donation and support for the UNOS mission.

The gift

Fifteen of the climbers already donated an organ. Some gave their lifesaving gift to someone they knew, others to a stranger. All gave another person a new lease on life.

In 2022, more than 6,400 transplants were made possible by living donors.
