Assistant Director, Transplant Patient Accounting (Revenue Cycle EPIC Billing)

The Assistant Director supervises a section; analyzes and evaluates departmental policies and procedures; develops and supervises maintenance of general accounting and statistical record systems; recommends personnel actions, e.g., hiring, promotion and termination.


MUST HAVE REVENUE CYCLE TRANSPLANT BILLING EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION. Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) and 4 years of experience required.


Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•           Define and achieve financial targets in support of business goals of the institution.

•           Project future budget based upon analysis of current operations.

•           Develop cost reduction projects and targets in collaboration with subordinate managers and operating section managers. Prepare justification or develop alternatives for cost containment/reduction.

•           Prepare an annual operating budget for a unit or section, including direct labor, material and supplies, services, equipment maintenance and replacement.


As Tennessee’s only full-service transplant center, we offer the most advanced care for end-stage organ failure in children and adults. Our transplant specialists also perform lifesaving dual-organ transplants, including heart-kidney, heart-liver, heart-lung and liver-kidney.
