Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Magnet recognized by the American Nurse Credentialing Center, is seeking experienced Transplant Coordinators at our New Brunswick location. The coordinators will oversee the clinical and administrative process for patients through the pre-transplant evaluation, transplantation and post-transplantation follow-up. The coordinators will also educate patients, families and staff regarding transplantation. S/he will collaborate with physicians and other program staff in evaluating and managing patients and complete data capture, analysis and reporting and other administrative functions required for transplant program operations.
The coordinators participate in 24-hour coverage of outpatient transplant service for: potential deceased donor transplants, and responding to patient problem calls for post -transplant and surgical patients.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing; CCTC certification preferred.
- Current RN licensure in the State of NJ.
- Relevant clinical experience with end stage renal disease patients or renal/pancreas transplant patients.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a less structured environment than the inpatient setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, successfully delegating and following through with assignments.
