Under direction from assigned administrative leadership, the Transplant/VAD Administrator is responsible for the oversight, coordination, operational management, and budgetary and financial viability of the Transplant Center. The Transplant/VAD Administrator works directly with heart transplant program leadership and other key individuals within the hospital and hospital’s medical group. The work focuses on the need to establish quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) programs, develop outcome measures, negotiate managed care agreements in conjunction with hospital finance, establish a referral network, set up systems of communication and data regarding patients eligible for and receiving transplants, and overall planning for all solid organ transplant programs.  Assures that systems and processes are in place for optimal patient scheduling, maintenance of patient data, patient billing and collections, and compliance with all regulatory requirements for each transplant program.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• Master’s Degree in Business, Nursing or related healthcare field required

• Management/leadership experience within an adult heart transplant/VAD center required

• Strong transplant financial, strategic/business planning and operational experience preferred
