Vice President of Process Improvement and Innovation

Gift of Life Donor Program, the non-profit agency serving eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware, is responsible for recovering organs and tissues used in lifesaving and life-enhancing transplants.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced individual (clinician) to collaborate with the leadership team, direct reports, and other internal stakeholders in leading the integration of Quality, Clinical Staff Development, and Donation & Transplant Analytics Departments to optimize organizational performance and develop innovative strategies to drive improvement in the organ, tissue, and eye donation process.

Reporting to the Chief Clinical Officer, you will:

·       Provide oversight, manage, and lead the creation, development, and execution of cross departmental strategies to drive growth, efficiency, and quality.

·       Provide the necessary resources to integrate operational excellence in donation process to include all aspects of coordination including coordination and recovery

·       Lead strategy and process design for implementation of quality improvement initiatives across the organization. Assists internal customers in solving their biggest strategic challenges

·       Ensure Gift of Life meets all regulatory and accreditation standards to include UNOS, EBAA, AATB, CMS, and FDA, and satisfies all organizational policies and procedures

·       Enhance customer satisfaction across the continuum of GLDP services to include both internal and external customers

·       Perform data analysis to lead development and design of PDSA’s to improve clinical process as well as the curriculum to support staff education.

·       Leverage analytic tools utilizing compelling presentation techniques to effectively communicate practice changes

·       Develop audit of key performance indicators to ensure process improvement is stable and sustainable

·       Assist departments with change management, development communication and execution plans

·       Assist in the development, leadership, and execution of the continuous improvement long range plan inclusive of project selection, resource management and technology innovation

·       Ensure state of the art Learning and Development curriculum to develop and execute quality educational content that has proven effectiveness

·       Develop and deliver training and course work in quality to organizational leaders

·       Actively participate and represent GOL in AOPO/AATB and ASQ

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to:

Ø  demonstrate excellent management, leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills with active-listening skills and the ability to build strong, effective relationships internally throughout the organization and externally as needed to support the operations

Ø  maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality and exhibits excellent judgment



Successful candidates will possess:

Ø  10-year leadership experience working with clinical teams to produce improved results (preferably in organ and tissue donation or hospital setting)

Ø  Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

Ø  Certifications in area of Six Sigma or Change Management

Ø Skill in creative and adaptive program planning, design, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation.

Ø Advanced skill in communicating in critical situations, orally and in writing, with employees, business, and community leaders.

Ø Excellent management, leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills with active-listening skills and the ability to build strong, effective relationships internally

Ø  Demonstrated leadership ability and success in program development necessary skills
