JOB SUMMARY: Has responsibility for providing oversight for abdominal organ transplant quality programming. In collaboration with the program administration and physician leadership, contributes on the leadership team in coordinating, planning, organizing, facilitating and evaluating quality program functions, including: Development of standard procedures, forms/tools, and order sets, with responsibility to oversee Procedure Control functions ; Quality Assurance and Process Improvement (QAPI) program development and implementation according to provisions in the Quality Management Plan; Establishes processes to assure program regulatory “readiness” for CMS certification and UNOS membership, including monitoring and incorporating updates; Develops and administers systems for auditing of program operations to meet regulatory requirements, for phases of transplant (evaluation, selection, transplantation, post-transplantation). Assures efficient use of fiscal resources. Responsibility for maintenance of transplant databases as it relates to quality management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining quality program informatics / data staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· Proven track record of entering, manipulating and analyzing data and health statistics
· Bachelor’s or Master’s from Nursing Program or other clinical degree preferred.
· Transplant or quality, or database management experience preferred.
