Public input on proposed policy is an essential part of the policy development process. Policy proposals approved by the OPTN/UNOS Board of Directors are widely distributed for public comment prior to final policy implementation. The distribution list currently includes:

  • a broad cross-section of the transplant community
  • patients
  • transplant professionals
  • health policy analysts
  • government officials
  • interested individuals from the general public
