Information on Disaster Relief and Assistance

The national Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN), administered by United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), is dedicated to providing assistance to transplant patients and facilitating lifesaving organ donation in the event of a natural disaster.

Patients

Transplant candidates and recipients who are displaced from their homes and unable to reach their transplant coordinators and centers may call UNOS' toll-free Patient Services line, (888) 894-6361, which is staffed from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time Monday through Friday.
