Jorge D. Reyes, M.D., is chief of the division of transplantation at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle and medical director of LifeCenter Northwest.
Dr. Reyes is a member of the OPTN/ UNOS membership and professional standards committee (MPSC) and its DCD [donation after cardiac death] work group. He served as chair of the OPTN/UNOS pediatric transplantation committee. He also has served on the OPTN/UNOS liver and intestinal organ transplantation committee, ad hoc international relations committee and on the review board (liver) for his region.
A member of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Advisory Committee on Organ Transplantation (ACOT), Dr. Reyes is a faculty member for HRSA’s Transplant Growth and Management Collaborative. He serves on the American Society of Transplant Physicians' (ASTS') reimbursement committee and its intra-abdominal organ committee to develop standardizing listing criteria for intestinal transplantation. He also serves on the American Society of Transplantation's (AST's) diversity and minority affairs committee and its training and workforce committee.
